Danny Paradise

Danny ParadiseDanny Paradise practices Ashtanga Yoga since 1975 and teaches worldwide since 1979. Initially he studied with the first western teachers of Ashtanga, David Williams and Nancy Gilgoff. Danny learned with them the series for beginners and advanced during a period of 5 years and studied with Sri Patabbhi Jois in 1978 and 1980.

Danny also studied and practiced with Yoga teachers of and spiritual guides in many other spiritual traditions and lineages, as well as with Kung fu, Tai chi and Karate teachers. 

For over 28 years Danny introduced all levels of Ashtanga Yoga practice to students and teachers worldwide. He also introduced the practice of Ashtanga to worldwide recognized artists like Madonna and Sting, musicians, dancers, film directors, Buddhist Lamas, actors, designers and sports champions . 

He incorporates various indigenous spiritual traditions in the practice and philosophy of Yoga, relating Yoga to all cultures based on shamanic nature. Danny is inspired by the teachings of Krishnamurti, Buddha, ancient Egypt as well as many indigenous cultures: Hawaiian, Mayan, Native Americans …

Danny transmits these old traditions on a non-dogmatic, contemporary and relaxed way. His purpose is to assist people to develop a sacred personal practice, safe, meditative, healing, joyful, expansive and painless. 

Danny teaches all sequences of Ashtanga Yoga with emphasis on  an expanding  and evolving practice, giving alternative positions, modifications and variations within the structure of all sequences of Ashtanga Yoga.
