Amy Hollowell Sensei is the first successor of Catherine Genna Pagès Roshi, who was responsible for the Dana Centre in Paris. Amy Hollowell was born in Minneapolis, in the United States in 1958. She emigrated to France in 1981 at the end of her university studies. Today she is a journalist within an international everyday based in Paris. She is also a poet - her poems were published in the U.S. and Europe. She began to study Zen with Catherine Pagès in 1993 and teaches under her guidance since 2000. She received the Dharma transmission in 2004. She teaches the practice of silent meditation (shikantaza) and the practice of Koans. She visits Portugal regularly since 2004 to participate in lectures and to conduct sessions of guided meditation and retreats. She is responsible for the Wild Flower Zen Sangha, based in Paris.
