Quinta da Calma offers a ‘School of Life’ in an oasis of peace, beauty and tranquility in the heart of the Algarve.

Our Holistic Healing Retreat Centre was founded with the vision of a deep love for nature and natural foods, and a firm belief that it is the birthright of each individual to be healthy, joyful and peaceful. To this end Yoga, Tai-chi, Massage, Qi-Gong and many other natural healing treatments are a part of what we have to share. Quinta da Calma is the European Centre for Integral Yoga® Teacher Training, from the Yogaville Centre of Swami Satchidananda. There are many classes of Yoga on all levels in Portuguese and English. Our approach from the beginning has always been based on sound nutrition forming the cornerstone for whole-body well-being, plus the understanding that the human being is composed of body, mind, emotions, soul and spirit.
